Rubber Hose Wire Manufacturing

III. Electroplating Process Flow

Brass electroplating production line incorporates two proven process configurations:

Electroplating Process Flow 1

  1. Wire Pay - off: The steel wire is initially unwound and fed into the production line.
  2. Degreasing: High - efficiency degreasing agents are employed in the degreasing tank to eliminate surface contaminants, including oil stains and impurities.
  3. Open - flame Furnace and Water Bath Treatment: This sequential heating and cooling process rapidly modifies the surface activity of the wire, preparing it for subsequent processing.
  4. Water Cooling: The wire is cooled to an appropriate temperature to stabilize its physical properties.
  5. Pickling: Surface oxides are removed through pickling, followed by thorough rinsing to ensure cleanliness.
  6. Electroplating Sequence: The wire undergoes sequential copper and zinc plating, each step followed by meticulous water rinsing to ensure uniform and adherent coatings.
  7. Post - treatment: Hot water washing and ultra - high - frequency diffusion processes enhance coating cohesion, while subsequent water cooling, phosphoric acid treatment, water rinsing, and soap immersion improve surface lubricity and corrosion resistance.
  8. Wire Winding/ Take-up: The finished wire is wound up, completing the production cycle.

Electroplating Process Flow 2

This electroplating process flow follows the same sequence as Process Flow 1, with the exception of the electrolytic alkaline washing step, which replaces direct pickling after the initial water cooling phase. Leveraging electrochemical reactions, this method provides a more thorough surface cleaning, catering to diverse material requirements and ensuring superior electroplating results.
